Repairs to the gearbox have been completed and the engine, gearbox and radiator were
today all put back together and re-installed in 1686.

It is hoped that the re-wiring of some of the electrical components will not take too long.
Good to see 1686 back on the road in such a short space of time. Now if I could get 665 on the road in the next month.....

be held at the Aire Valley Running Day at Bolton Abbey station, Skipton on Sunday, 11.10.09.

Whilst there were no other buses at the testing station, we were passed on the M6
Southbound by former Dublin Bus RV497 (99D497).

R870SDT - from Bostock's of Congleton, an Irizar bodied Scania which had been new to Warren, Ticehurst in 1997.

W439WGH - from Holmeswood, Leyland, a Plaxton bodied Volvo B7TL which had been new to London Central in 2000.
It is undergoing work by Holmeswood on behalf of East Yorkshire Motor Services.

Overtook W439 WGH northbound on the M6; looked good. Peter H
