My researches have produced a reference to Ribble producer gas buses operating to Haighton (Black Horse) - somewhere in the Preston area
I cannot identify this location - can anyone help or (if it is a typing mistake) suggest an alternative destination?

Haighton / Haighton Green - North of Preston, East of M6 Junction 32, at Broughton.
My route maps of 1939 and 1946 do not show any route through Haighton, nor does the 1901 Census list any pubs in Haighton.
A search for Black Horse pubs on google reveals that there is one on Gregson Lane, which as well as being where James Hodson started his business is also in Hoghton, and although Gregson Lane is still served today, buses turn right into Alma Row which is before the pub.
