Hi,

I'm looking for information about Ribble's route and fleet developments in the Liverpool area from 1950 onwards until deregulation.

Are there any reference materials or books you could point me to which might assist my enquiries?

Hello John,
The best reference I can suggest for this information is Liverpool Transport vol.5 by J.B. Horne & T.B. Maund which contains a list of all Ribble routes in the Liverpool area, and some details of routes, vehicles etc for the period 1957-86. Streets of Liverpool & Heyday of Ribble (Both Ian Allan 2007) also have photographs and captions of interest. I hope this information is of use,
